B.A.E. is a utility, created by jonwd7, to extract BA2 and BSA files.

Tutorial

1 Download and install B.A.E. manually.

2 Click File > Open File...

3 Navigate to the Fallout 4 data folder.

PC C:\Program Files\Fallout 4\Data
Steam C:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\Data
Playstation 4 / Xbox One (unverified) Make a backup copy of the Fallout 4 installation to an external device. Copy the backup onto your PC. Locate the '/Data' folder in the Fallout 4 directory.

4 Open a .ba2 file. Example: "Fallout4 - Materials.ba2"

5 Select all or specific game assets, click 'Extract', and select the 'Data' folder.

Tip: A helpful way to organize creations Make a new folder in '/Data'. For example name it: "MyCreation1". Choose the files you want to modify and copy it into "MyCreation1". This way you keep the original files in their respective place and can refer to them when needed.
