The Bethesda Archive Extractor or B.A.E. for short, is a utility created by jonwd7, to extract Archive Files.

Installation[edit | edit source]
- Download and extract the file contents into a new empty folder.
- The program may be executed from any folder on your local computer.
- Create a desktop shortcut and launch the program.
Usage[edit | edit source]
- After installation, click
File > Open File...
- Navigate to the Fallout 4 data folder.
- PC
...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\Data
- Playstation/Xbox Make a backup copy of the Fallout 4 installation to an external device. Copy the backup onto your PC. Locate the '/Data' folder in the Fallout 4 directory.
- PC
- Open a .ba2 file. Example: "Fallout4 - Materials.ba2"
- Select all or specific game assets, click 'Extract', and select the 'Data' folder.
